On March 23, 2019, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation shared that it has used more than AED 51 million to dig 238 water wells in 12 countries. This supports their goal of providing communities with vital access to water.

- Sudan: 50 wells
- Mali: 16 wells

- Kenya: 10 wells
- Chad: 10 wells
- Ethiopia: 8 wells
- Djibouti: 8 wells
- Mauritania: 7 wells
- Oman: 6 wells
- Yemen: 6 wells
UAE Water Security Strategy
The Director General talked about saving water, which is a big goal for the UAE’s plan called the Water Security Strategy 2036. The aim is to make sure everyone has enough water while also following rules and keeping the world healthy.
Distributing 32000 Iftar Meals in six Yemeni Governorates
The Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation started the “Iftar for the Fasting” campaign in six Yemeni areas, with support from the UAE Embassy in Yemen.
The six Governorates included:
- Aden
- Abyan
- Lahij
- Shabwah
- Hadramaut
- Taiz
The campaign aimed to give out 32,000 meals to families and displaced people in those areas. This was to help ease the tough situation, especially during the Holy Month.
The director general mentioned the Foundation’s campaign to provide iftar meals in Yemen, giving out 2,133 meals daily for 15 days. This was done with the UAE Embassy’s oversight to support many families.
